SureCount is shipped to you with Preference Settings that are preset to assist you in working with SureCount from the start. However, there may come a time that you may not need a particular setting or you just might want to set them to your style of work. The Preference Settings are located in the Maintenance drop-down menu at the top of the screen.

Reset_Prefs

The four Preference Setting boxes are:

  1. Show instruction message for Sketch a Polygon – When you perform the Sketch a Polygon function, an instructional message appears as a reminder as to how this function works. On the message box is a check box to suppress this message in the future. The message will no longer be displayed when the Sketch a Polygon tool is activated. If you want SureCount to show this message again, check the box next to this entry here in the Preference box.
  2. Reset_Prefs2Show Auto-count Confirm Matched Images dialog – When this setting is checked, the Auto-count feature displays a dialog for viewing the matched images as well as images that could be possible matches before the Auto-count is applied to the drawing. The dialog allows you to specify which images you want to include or exclude from the count. It is helpful in identifying images that may be questionable due to overlaying or crowding of images on the drawing. This preference is checked by default, meaning the Matched Images dialog will display after each Auto-count. If you do not want to see the Matched Images dialog, you can uncheck the preference setting here and SureCount will record the matched images based on its findings.
  3. Show Branch Measurement Values – The length of each Branch measurement segment is displayed on the drawing. When running several parallel runs in the same tray or hallway, these measurement numbers usually end up displayed on top of each other making both the numbers and the drawing hard to read. Check this preference to display the lengths on the drawing; uncheck this preference to show only the total measurement, not the segment length value. This is a global setting, meaning all jobs and drawings will either show or not show the lengths depending on this setting.
  4. Show Feeder Measurement Values – This setting is the same as the Branch Measurement setting above. The length of each Feeder measurement segment is displayed on the drawing.
